Celebrating My One Year As A Podcaster

 I'M BACK!

Yes I have been gone for a few weeks but I have a weekly catalog of things to talk to you about. The first thing is me being a podcaster for a year. I have really enjoyed the process during my first year and looking forward to many more years of sharing information with you.

The Podcast is called Proactive Eye and is a platform I use as an abuse activist sharing information about Intimate Partner Violence aka Domestic Violence, Child Abuse, Sexual Violence/Sexual Assault, and Suicide Prevention as it relates to abuse. I have experienced each of these topics personally (except suicide ideation) and have a plethora of information and resources to share with you concerning each topic. I have also included suicide prevention as it relates to abuse on the podcast. Although this isn't something I experienced myself, it is very alarming to me that victims and survivors of abuse are two times more likely to attempt suicide multiple times, including murder-suicide in the context of abuse (Clay, 2014). NO ONE should ever feel they are in any situation they cannot get out of or there is no hope for them or their children (if any involved) before or after getting out of a toxic situation. If you have not participated in listening and would like to, you can do so at https://bit.ly/proactiveeye

The podcast is hosted on the Anchor platform, but you can see it on any of the other platforms on the graphic to the right. Listen, share, and subscribe. You can also download episodes to use for informational purposes only. Be sure to give appropriate APA citation when you do.

How I am choosing to celebrate?

Glad you asked. I am choosing to celebrate sharing with you on YouTube. YouTube is where I am sharing more details all successes and failures as I navigate rebuilding after a life of abuse. I also expound more on topics on the podcast here for more clarity using my life as examples. We have entered an era where most things we do now are virtual. It is not expedient for me to do public speaking as I once did for health reasons (obviously), so I have chosen YouTube as a platform to reach more of you in a public speaking style, continue with podcasting, and blogging more regularly. I share a few things here, but if you would like more information on what I share here, subscribe to my YouTube channel here at https://bit.ly/elegantgrannytv

My hope is that everyone is in a safe place and enjoying time with their loved ones.
