Scalability doesn't just work for your business, it works for your mental health as well.
As I began to scale my life about this time last year, I saw the downward spiral it was taking by no longer planning as I had always done. Planning kept the frequency of my energy at a peaceful state and I was enabled to accomplish so much in so little time.
Not planning caused me to always be in a rush and not complete many, if any, of my tasks at all.
This caused so much chaos in my mentality that it had me feeling like I was about to lose it all. I was always frustrated, mad, feeling unaccomplished, and sometimes not even worthy to continue being supportive to my family - let alone myself.
What was it that kept me from planning?
Not valuing my time as much as I did others is what did it. This meant I no longer saw the value in myself when I attended to someone else's need(s) above my own.
I would not have seen the problem area had I not taken the time to scale (evaluate) the position I was in. I had to scale my mentality in order to break through this.
Here are a few things supporting you scaling your mental health:
1. Have an assigned therapist or someone you know personally in the mental health field you are comfortable disclosing to. If you have one, definitely talk to that one great active listening friend that is able to handle your issues with no judgement but able to assure you that you are able to get back on track by supporting you as you evaluate your situation.
2. Have a professional finance officer as a friend or someone you speak to regularly about your finances. If your money ain't right, your mind won't be either.
3. Get involved in community recreation. Belly dancing and visiting local farmers markets are my favorite activities.
4. Evaluate your mental ingestion of people you normally hang around in your circle. Some are more toxic than you care to believe. Keep those who add value to your mental welfare. Detox those who are not.
5. Evaluate your selection of reading, music, or movies and TV shows you normally choose. What are the messages (clear or subliminally) possibly affecting you?
6. Journaling. This is the activity that got me back on track to my most successful self. I was able to track my thoughts, my actions, and the responses of both as I put everything in black and white.
Scalability is necessary if you're going to become or remain mentally stable.
Enjoy your mind
